fnatic are through to the grand final of WESG 2017 after beating TeamOne in a one-sided 2-0 series.

TeamOne entered the semi-final with the wind in their sails after stunning Cloud9 in the previous round, but their momentum was quickly halted as they found themselves trailing their opponents 1-8 after a rough start to their Terrorist side. It was only then that TeamOne's offence finally came to life, with the Brazilians winning three rounds in a row to build up a solid bank.

It looked like the Brazilians would at least hit the five-round mark in the half, but two quick Desert Eagle kills from Jonas "⁠Lekr0⁠" Olofsson opened up the next round and eventually put fnatic back in control, with the Swedes taking that momentum to win the remaining rounds of the half.

Now playing on the CT side, TeamOne kept their hopes alive by taking the pistol round following some horrible post-plant positioning from fnatic. But the Swedes would not let a comeback happen and regained control of the game once they had money to work with, losing just one gun round before walking away with the map win.

The next map, Nuke, was highly contested until the halfway mark, but then fnatic set up a very strong defence and shut down any chances of TeamOne stringing rounds together, taking ten rounds into the second half.

Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist came up huge in the second pistol and clutched a 1v2 situation to put his team further into the lead. TeamOne's second-round force-buy did pay off, but fnatic responded immediately, resetting their opponents' economy and setting themselves up for another run, with Jesper "⁠JW⁠" Wecksell hammering the final nail into the Brazilians' coffin with a p90 quad-kill.
